Our name reflects our belief that God’s good news is for all people and that people are central to God’s mission. We are connected to the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA)— a fellowship of like-minded churches pursuing mission, discipleship, and Christ-likeness.
We are located in Pinckney, MI, approximately 15 miles north of Ann Arbor and within commuting distance of Detroit, Lansing, and the greater Southeast Michigan area. The Pinckney community offers a unique blend of small-town community, suburban living, and rural beauty. It is largely family-oriented with access to abundant outdoor recreation. With its lakes, parks, trails, and nature preserves, Pinckney is a sought-after destination for families throughout Southeast Michigan.
Since our founding, Peoples Church has become deeply engaged in our local community. We intentionally seek to love and serve Pinckney in tangible ways: hosting an annual Memorial Day community event with free food, games, and activities, and partnering closely with the local school system through initiatives such as a homecoming tailgate and supporting students, families, and staff throughout the year.
Our ministry philosophy is deeply missional and relational. While we value excellence in our Sunday gatherings and ministries, our primary focus is forming disciples who love Jesus, live in community, and engage the world around them with humility and faith. Corporate worship plays a vital role in shaping the spiritual life of our congregation and creating space for the Holy Spirit to move among us.
Peoples is led by a collaborative team of pastors, staff, and elders who value unity, prayer, and shared leadership. We are committed to fostering an environment where leaders are supported, gifts are developed, and ministry flows out of dependence on the Holy Spirit. We believe God is continuing to shape the future of Peoples Church, and we are prayerfully seeking a worship pastor/director who will join us in stewarding corporate worship and helping our church family grow deeper in love with Christ.
